SiC Nanowire–Si<sub>3</sub>N<sub>4</sub> Nanobelt Interlocking Interfacial Enhancement of Carbon Fiber Composites with Boosting Mechanical and Frictional Properties

Carbon fiber composites composed of carbon and pyrolytic (PyC) matrix have great potential application in the brakes aircrafts, where combination high mechanical strength excellent frictional properties are required. In this work, two-component silicon-based interlocking enhancements were designed constructed into for boosting properties. Specially, silicon carbide nanowires (SiCnws) nitride nanobelts (Si3N4nbs) could form architectures, SiCnws rooted firmly on surface radial direction Si3N4nbs integrate PyC with fibers together via a networked shape. SiCnws-Si3N4nbs not only refine but also promote bonding fiber/matrix interface cohesion matrix, thus enhancing Benefiting from synergistic effect enhancement mechanism, interlaminar shear compressive increased by 88.41% 73.40%, respectively. addition, friction coefficient wear rate decreased 39.50% 69.88%, This work open up an strategy efficiently fabricating promoting that be used aircrafts.
